Dr. Devine earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry at St Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, in 1993. He then graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at University of Kentucky Albert B Chandler Medical Center and his Infectious Disease Fellowship at University of Cincinnati. Dr Devine moved to Atlanta to join this practice in September 2002. He practices general infectious diseases, hyperbaric medicine, and wound care. His interests include osteomyelitis (bone infections), joint infections, diabetic foot infections, sinusitis, hyperbaric medicine, wound care, and travel and tropical medicine.
Dr Devine is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Dr Devine is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician and Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management and he is a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, American Academy of Wound Management, International Society of Travel Medicine, and The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Dr Devine has been active in international medical missions and he has worked in El Salvador and Nicaragua with Children’s Cross Connection International and in Guatemala with Friends of Guatemala. He is married with four children. He enjoys sports including soccer, rugby, and college football.
